• February 10, 2012: Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey announced that Christopher Reeve will be amongst the 2012 inductees into the New Jersey Hall of Fame. Reeve's mother Barbara Johnson, who still lives in Princeton, says she's grateful to all who voted for her son, who died in 2004. "It was as a youngster growing up in Princeton that Chris first learned many of the skills and interests that were so much a part of his life as an actor and an activist," she said. The New Jersey Hall of Fam Class of 2012 will be inducted at a gala to be held on June 9 at Newark's New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Tickets go on sale March 1.

• March 19, 2012: Christopher's son Matthew continues to push for paralysis research as a board member of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. Matthew Reeve, whose sister works in the office of Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), was in Washington last week meeting with Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), Rep. Bill Young (R-Fla.) and other lawmakers - pushing for more support for the paralysis resource center that bares the names of his late father and stepmother. "It's an invaluable service and tool that we provide that gives answers to people with disabilities and really with an eye toward the newly injured. There're so many questions to be answered, both for the patient and for their family members, when someone becomes paralyzed," explains Reeve. Read more at TheHill.com.
